Glitterati Gossip: Olivia Newton-John To Guest Star on NBC's "Grease"

Gg_1_2_1_2Olivia Newton-John will guest star in the first two episodes of the new reality competition, Grease: You're The One That I Want, which will air on NBC beginning January 7th.

The first few episodes will focus on the audition process, and Olivia will provide commentary.

GMMR: Scrubs, the Musical -- "Everything Comes Down to Poo"

Gmmr_logo_7_1In the words of Barney Stinson, January 18th is going to be a "wait for it… wait for it… LEGENDARY" night of television. Why? Because at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Scrubs will premiere its first-ever musical episode.

And the writers brought in the big guns for this one. Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, the Tony Award-winning composers of the Broadway hit Avenue Q, wrote the songs for the show. This is going to be a special night for TV -- “must see TV,” if you will.

Battlestar Galactica DVD Movie? It Could Happen

Universal Home Video may give the go to produce a Battlestar Galactica direct-to-DVD telefilm, according to Geek Monthly.

If it pans out, the two-hour telefilm will begin shooting by March 2007 when the series begins its normally scheduled hiatus before (or better yet -- if and when) Season Four goes into production three months later. It is assumed that the movie will be shown first on the Sci Fi Channel, and later sold as a DVD in retail stores.

Some casting changes will be taking place on the set of 20th Century Fox TV’s new Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Serenity) vehicle called Drive. Kevin Alejandro (Sleeper Cell, Ugly Betty) and Mircea Monroe have been cast to star opposite Fillion, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
