MeeVee Sneak Preview: 10 Items or Less -- I Owe My Soul to the Company Store
10 Items or Less follows in the mostly-improv tradition of The Office and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Unlike those comedic gems, 10 Items or Less doesn't feature any actors you've heard of (such as Steve Carell) or even familiar guest stars (Richard Lewis, for example). It doesn't come equipped with a Seinfeld pedigree or the crossover potential of a hit show already tested in England. It's written by a stand-up comic whose main claim to fame is the mockumentary Memron. To top it off, 10 Items or Less is not only set in -- but actually filmed in -- a grocery store. If all this sounds like a recipe for disaster... well, it might. Only time -- and the Nielsen ratings -- will tell.

Desperate Housewives: Stand By Your Man?
On Desperate Housewives, vicious rumors are spreading like good ol’ Christmas cheer. The neighborhood is up in arms about Art, a potential pedophile in their midst, who creepily comes to the Wisteria Lane block party in full Santa regalia. Needless to say, no one wants to sit on his lap. Later, when the neighborhood ninnies get together to stage a not-so-neighborly protest in front of Art’s house, his crippled sister has a heart attack. Lynette, who had been trying to stop the picketers, feels major guilt for Art’s sister’s death. When Art tells Lynette that he’s moving, she feels even more mixed emotions. Will she tell Art’s new blockmates of her suspicions about him?

Amazing Race: Karma Schmarma... It's a RACE, People!
In beautiful and somewhat desolate Ouarzazate, Morocco, this week's Amazing Race saw the Blondes behind, then ahead, then behind again, then finally marked for elimination. This was definitely the beauty queens' worst leg yet, and it amped up the drama tremendously! Dustin and Kandice had seemed destined for the finale -- if not the top spot. This episode, however, almost had them on a one-way trip back to the U.S.

WWE: Changing Administrations
The changing of the guard highlighted this weekend’s annual post-Thanksgiving wrestling bonanza, Survivor Series. Clearly, the reign of King Booker had become tiresome -- he's been dethroned by Batista. Now, Friday Night SmackDown! faces the conundrum of trying to create drama when the good guy rules the roost. New developments in this plot will have to wait, as WWE Monday Night Raw promises to merely recap the pay-per-view fallout for penny-pinching network viewers.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade: Fun For A Very Small Portion Of The Family
Everybody loves a parade…in theory. In reality, it may be physically impossible to sit through the three-hour plug-fest that is The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Still, millions of New Yorkers braved the cold and rain to watch several big balloons float slowly by. Where's the CGI when you need it?
Unfortunately, the big balloons didn’t sail as high as usual this year. High winds, plus last year's accident -- in which an M&M’s balloon took down a light pole and injured two people -- kept the helium highlights on short leashes. This time around, the M&M’s were on their best behavior. Reports say they've been checking in regularly with their parole officer.

Grey's Anatomy: Putting the Oh in Oh, @#%*!
This week's Grey's Anatomy is strictly devoted to the implosion of all things Cristina and Burke. We get only quick tidbits from the other characters: Meredith and Shepherd stop their celibate silliness; George insults Izzie in a very painful way; and it seems as though Alex and Addison might get it on. Yes, you read that right -- Alex and Addison. Can you believe it?
