The Bachelor: Rome -- Rosella, Woman Scorned?

Bachelor_rosella

What would possess a woman to join a reality TV show in search of a husband? For Rosella Fratto, it was divine inspiration. A recent contestant on ABC's Bachelor: Rome, this 27 year-old makeup artist felt it was her destiny. When the Chicago-born Italian heard the show would be filmed in Rome, it sealed the deal. "All the signs were there - I really thought that history was going to repeat itself." That history involved her mother and beloved deceased father, who met and married in Italy a few decades earlier. But, after just one intoxicating evening, Rosella found herself on a plane headed home. She may not have found her fairytale ending, but she managed to win the hearts of Bachelor fans everywhere. Not bad for a night’s work.

Project Runway: Defending Tim Gunn's Honor

Jeffreysebelia It's Project Runway finale time, which means two things: home visits and pre-final runway bitchy designer reunions. And that means one thing: best episode of the season.

The episode starts with the designers bidding adieu to New York, except for Laura, who heads off into the Manhattan sunset like some Louis Vuitton version of The Tramp. A few weeks later, Tim heads to Atlanta, Georgia, for his first home visit of the season.

MTV's Little Talent Show: A Feel Good Show

Untitled1_2 MTV's Little Talent Show makes no excuses for itself. It is what it is, complete with not-even-D-list celebrity "expert" judges, a grand prize of $500 whole dollars, and a set that looks like a middle school auditorium.

The Nine: Time For Some Long Division

19559_p So it’s week two (i.e. “Hour 1, 3:06pm” and/or “11 days later”) of The Nine and the show is already jumbled. Confusing time shifts and convoluted story lines sink this episode. Already we’ve got a failed relationship as the first casualty of the hostage crisis. Well, second casualty if you count the dead girl, which no one on the show seems to. What’s her name again? There is another mysterious dead person too. “Two people are dead,” says the cop. Really? Maybe a security guard died too early in the standoff to be counted as number ten. Which is a good thing, because the biggest problem with The Nine is that it should be The Five.

America's Next Top Model: Rock and Roll has Left the Building

Top_model_megg

Models are such freaks. It’s high time a television show spoke the truth. They don’t necessarily represent the most beautiful women in the world, just those who take the best pictures. This week’s America’s Next Top Model illuminated the bizarre-o qualities that a real-deal fashion queen must exude. It was all about the circus, baby – bearded ladies and all.

Mr. T Doesn’t Hate Fools, He Pities Them

Mrt In a world with too much jibba jabba, only one man can say “enough!” That man is Mr. T. TV Land has blessed us with a brand new reality show for the eternal do-gooder, I Pity The Fool. T gets to flex his motivational muscles in the new show as he helps fools out with their problems. He's ditched the gold chains (because he says they are an insult to God), but hasn’t lost one ounce of his infectious enthusiasm or his knack for rhyming bad grammar, “because in every city, there’s fools to pity.” Truer words have never been spoken.

Totally Frakked: Jericho - Macho Self-Indulgence

666Last week's episode of Jericho contained the second death-by-torture of an innocent person when a group of guys locked up a hysterical teacher in a bomb shelter and let him die of a heart attack. This week, Robert and Derek do the honors. Suspecting that the radiation victim who wandered into town may have killed somebody, they shoot him up with adrenaline and interrogate him until he dies in excruciating pain. This is after they literally push Derek's doctor wife out of the way because, as Derek says, “we can.” Technically, yes. Morally, WTF? These are supposed to be our good guys? Go, USA!

Lost: Baby-Daddy Drama

Lostsun_1 Don’t you hate it when domestic disputes complicate haphazard rescue attempts? Last night’s Lost episode took us much deeper into the mess that is Jin and Sun’s marriage, giving us a glimpse of who might have knocked up Sun. Yes, the already-thick plot thickens even more.

The producers promised a relationship-centered season and last night, it delivered. We finally got confirmation that Sun slept with Jae pre-plane crash, putting him in the running for baby-daddy (since Jin is shooting blanks). Expect a few more twists in this saga, though.

Dancing with the Stars: Week 5 Elimination Results

Ford_01_240x360_1Dancing with the Stars's Jerry Springer is not a dancer, and he’s the first one to admit it - “I dance the same dance every day. We just do it at different speeds.” Springer’s a great entertainer and a beloved pop culture icon, but let’s face it – the daily workouts and weekly competitions are taking a toll on his middle-aged body. The talk show host seemed freaked out at the prospect of having to learn two dances each week if he should get voted through to the next round. “What do you mean, two dances?” he nervously asked. Oh, and again, another important thing - Jerry Springer lacks real dancing talent.
