The Knights of Prosperity: Like a Thomas Pynchon Novel for Your TV

106164_397_preDespite a few minor flaws in the premiere, ABC's new The Knights of Prosperity deserves credit for being smart enough to trust its audience. The premise of the show is simple and bold: Four working-class guys decide to turn their lives around by robbing Mick Jagger.

Why Mick Jagger? One of the gang sees an E! Top Chef 2: Cooking with the Fires of Hell!

Betty_2_1 Remember the remaining seven dynamic, talented, compelling contestants on Top Chef? No? I don’t blame you. This season has been mostly a bore. But now, the show has finally picked up enough speed for liftoff. Thank Bacchus, because the runway was getting short.

It has been an amazing experience and a great run. For a certain audience, at a certain time, THE O.C. has meant something. For that we are grateful.”

Enough with the Trump Towers and cutthroat NYC attitudes -- this season, The Apprentice is moving to the charmed and sparkling beaches of Los Angeles. But before you assume our man Trump has gone all sandy-soft, know one thing: It doesn’t get any more brutal than this.
