More Than 50 Stars Set To Present at the Golden Globes
With the gift bag valued at less than 600 dollars, it's amazing that any stars are showing up to present at tonight's Golden Globes. But free swag is still free swag, and nobody loves the freebies like celebrities.
Here's a partial list of the luminaries scheduled to present awards this evening:

Grease: You’re the One That I Want -- Hand Jive
Grease: You're the One That I Want
Title: Episode 2
First Aired: 1/14/07
Last week, Grease: You're the One That I Want danced its way through Los Angeles and Chicago, as the star search for a big-budget Broadway revival of the most famous musical of all time commenced. Pickings were slim in the Windy City. Will the producers fare any better when the cattle call reaches the Big Apple? To find out, viewers must first endure a Billy Bush recap that seems to plod through half the episode.

Wrestling Society X: Backyard Wrestling Goes Hollywood
Wrestling fans looking for alternatives to the bloated, pay-per-view-centric Friday Night SmackDown! and WWE Raw might consider tuning in to MTV’s Wrestling Society X. Outdoing the ECW in its amateur=underground=cool aesthetic, WSX features a shoddy ring, plenty of steel chairs, and bands performing at the start of each show. Unfortunately, it promises to fit the mold of the reality show with heavy editing and plenty of interviews, but could be weird enough to work. This certainly isn’t the first time MTV has flirted with wrestling culture.

Desperate Housewives: Smells Like Teen Spirit
Desperate Housewives
Title: “Not While I'm Around”
First Aired: 1/14/07
When we last left Wisteria Lane, things had been heating up -- with the teenagers. Former virgin Julie Mayer was getting that itch to really know Austin, and once the deed was done, it seemed, she was on a crash course to a broken heart. (Seems that Austin was also giving it to Julie’s bff, Danielle.)
This week, Julie finds a reluctant friend in Aunt Edie, who can provide the consenting signature for the Pill. No need to get mom Susan involved, right? Naturally, when Susan finds out about this, she screams at Edie, “She’s just a boob job away from being you!” (True, Andrea Bowen has been getting blonder and sluttier this season. Maybe it’s only inevitable that she’ll buy herself a Pam Anderson Special.) Just when Susan becomes slightly sympathetic to her daughter’s budding sexuality, she (along with Edie) catches Austin making out with Danielle. It’s heartbreaking for Susan, but even more so when she has to tell her own daughter about it.

Celebrity Beauty on the Red Carpet: Don't Worry -- It's Not Real
Many women (and some men, too) spend ample time convincing themselves that Hollywood's "beautiful people" are real people, and therefore don't actually look like they do in magazines and TV interviews. It's physically impossible for a person to look that good -- right? Then awards season comes along, and we see celebs strolling the red carpet and being interviewed live, all the while looking just as amazing as they do in those artfully retouched photos that we've spent months convincing ourselves are inaccurate. This can't be good for one's ego.
Never fear, your self-image can remain intact. Celebrities aren't nearly as beautiful as Melissa and Joan would lead you to believe! Here are the top 10 reasons why celebs look so ridiculously beautiful on the red carpet that you want to curl up into the fetal position and cry.
The Class Gets Naked For Us Online
CBS is doing something unusual this week: They’re showing an episode of The Class before it’s ready to air. CBS.com is webcasting a live table read of an upcoming episode on Monday, and then a run-through on Wednesday. Both webcasts will be archived on CBS's website, so don’t worry about missing the “live” part.
This is a ballsy and innovative move for CBS. Even in this age of reality television, viewers are not accustomed to seeing normally polished shows in such a stripped-down form -- a bunch of people sitting at a table, reading dialogue out loud. It’s a lot like watching paint dry, but with jokes.
SoSF: Author Peter S. Beagle Visits January 17
Written by: Samuel K. Sloan (SoSF Managing News Director)
Peter S. Beagle is the famous author of novels (fantasy and nonfiction), and screenplays. He is also a talented musician and singer. His very first novel, A Fine and Private Place, was published when he was only 19 years old and is considered a classic. But, his most recognized work is The Last Unicorn, rated as one of the top ten fantasy novels of all time.
Peter is equally popular for his screenplays, including the critically acclaimed episode on Star Trek: The Next Generation, titled "Sarek." He wrote the screenplay for the 1978 Ralph Bakshi-animated version of The Lord of the Rings, and adapted The Last Unicorn on film.

Golden Globe Awards
Finally, awards season is really here! The 64th annual gala -- which is heavy on the stars and the booze -- has a special honor for Warren Beatty. Reese Witherspoon, Felicity Huffman, Salma Hayek, Ben Stiller, Justin Timberlake, and the cast of Heroes, just to name a few, are featured as presenters.
Extras
Andy is no longer an extra, but he finds himself irked by the evolution of his sitcom in the second season premiere. Meanwhile, Orlando Bloom makes an ass of himself by bragging about his good looks to a dubious Maggie.
24 -- "Day 6: 8:00 AM-9:00 AM/Day 6: 9:00 AM-10:00 AM
The season premiere continues tonight. Jack and Assad hope that Masheer, one of Abu Fayed's men, will lead them to Fayed. NBC hopes you'll be watching this on DVD.
