Desperate Housewives: Supermarket Sweep

1_11After meddling Carolyn Bigsby planted yet another seed of doubt in Bree Hodge’s mind last week on Desperate Housewives , Bree had been seriously questioning new hubby Orson’s many mysteries. Of course, when Bree confronts her betrothed about his alleged past abusiveness, he says, “Darling, I could never strike a woman. You believe me, don’t you?” When you use the word “darling,” how could you possibly be a wife beater? Bree is still a bit shaken, though, so to exact revenge, she spills a secret to Carolyn.

SmackDown Sideshows

24_432The majority of any given WWE broadcast is given over to the hyping of a main event, typically a pay-per-view affair involving longtime villain King Booker, the slightly generic Batista, or the bulky Big Show. The real wrestling entertainment nuggets are buried deep within the two hours of Friday Night SmackDown! and WWE Monday Night Raw. Somewhere around the 90-minute mark, we're treated to over-the-top performances and amusingly absurd rivalries that recall such memorable personalities of yesteryear as Adorable Adrian Adonis and Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake. Totally Frakked: Battlestar Galactica - Deep Inside a Cylon's Mind

Bstar0306mod1 This week on Battlestar Galactica, it's all Cylons, all the time: Cylons explaining their views of the world, Cylons getting a mysterious virus that makes them die barfing, Cylons having arguments about the future of their race, and Cylons being bitchy to poor Gaius Baltar in his bathrobe.

This is dangerous territory. When show creators Ron Moore and David Eick decided to take the plot of BSG deep inside the Cylon Base Ships, they ran the risk of revealing too much, thus making the scary enemy too familiar to be creepy. Worse, the Cylon could come off looking just plain cheesy. This was the first episode of the season where unintended cheese reared its milky head, and it wasn't pretty.
